Clinical Herbalism
Clinical herbalism is one-on-one care that uses plant medicine to address both immediate symptoms and the underlying imbalances driving them. It’s appropriate for people dealing with sleep issues, digestive concerns, hormonal shifts, nervous system dysregulation, low energy, stress-related conditions, and chronic patterns that haven’t responded to conventional approaches alone.
We look at your full health picture together and build you a custom herbal formula and written wellness plan.
What a consult includes
- A 60-minute video consultation in which we review your full health history, current concerns, medications, and goals.
- A written wellness plan that includes a custom herbal formula, written in parts, formulated specifically for your case. Formulas are designed to work on two timelines at once – providing relief for what you’re experiencing now while also addressing the root patterns underneath. All formulas account for any medications you’re taking, allergies, pregnancy or breastfeeding status, and the safety profile of every herb included.
- Herbs can be purchased from me or taken to your local apothecary – I’m happy to help you learn how to blend yourself if you would prefer as well
- Lifestyle and dietary recommendations chosen for what’s realistic and achievable in your actual life, not a generic protocol.
- Education on the reasoning behind each recommendation, so you understand what you’re taking and why.

“Cassidy is an intuitive, empathetic listener with a brilliant mind. I booked a consultation with Cassidy several months ago, feeling burned out on the lifestyle of the modern mother. I wanted to replace pharmaceuticals with herbs in my life as much as possible. Cassidy took a balanced approach to help me reach my goals without relying on the rigidity and shame of an all-or-nothing mindset. I have made great strides towards my wellness goals and she has helped fine-tune my tincture and tea protocol over time. “Working with Cassidy is such a breath of fresh air. She truly understands how demanding life can be and therefore provides realistic regimens to follow. She knows that change is incremental and slow so she doesn’t expect you to change your lifestyle overnight in order to benefit from her services. She’s incredibly knowledgable, provides easy to follow session notes, and is a delight to be around. Cassidy makes healing a fun process and I recommend her for all your holistic herbalism needs!”

About Me
I came to herbalism through biodynamic farming and mycology first, working with the land and growing my own medicine. I then took an eight-year detour writing medical record chronologies – work that showed me, in great detail, where the medical system was failing people. I made a huge shift and began to manage a naturopathic clinic in Seattle – this work gave me insights into what protocols worked, and what plans didn’t stick. I then completed my formal clinical herbalism training and began my own herbalism practice focusing on plants, people, and patterns.
What I do now is sit with people’s whole stories. Finding solutions when the sleep won’t come or when digestion stops cooperating or when a nervous system goes numb from constant overload. My work is in looking for the pattern underneath, and building you a plan that works with your body.

Common questions
Will herbal medicine work alongside my medications?
Yes, every formula I build accounts for the medications you’re taking, including potential interactions and timing. If a herb isn’t appropriate for your situation, I won’t include it. If your case requires coordination with your prescribing provider, I’ll tell you.
Can I work with you during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
Yes. Pregnancy and breastfeeding are factored into every formula I build, and I have specific training in this area. Some herbs are contraindicated during these periods, and I work only with what’s appropriate and well-evidenced for your stage.
How is this different from seeing a naturopath?
Clinical herbalists specialize in plant medicine specifically – formulation, dosing, traditional and contemporary use of herbs, and the safety profiles of individual plants. A naturopath has a broader scope (labs, supplements, sometimes pharmaceuticals). Many of my clients see both. The work is complementary, not competing.
