I’m Cassidy Moss, the clinical herbalist behind Moss Herbalism. When you browse my site, book a consult, or order from my shop, you trust me with personal information, and sometimes with your health. Here is what I collect, how I use it, who helps me handle it, and the choices you have.
In short: I collect what I need to care for you, fill your orders, and send the emails you ask for. I never sell your information, and I never use your health details for advertising. You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information at any time.
Who I am
Moss Herbalism is my clinical herbalism practice in Washington State, USA. I’m responsible for the personal information collected through mossherbalism.com, my consults, and my shop. For anything privacy related, email me at mossherbalism@gmail.com.
What I collect
When you browse my site. My site and the tools on it record technical details such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, the page that sent you here, and your approximate location (city or region, based on your IP address).
When you join my newsletter. Your email address, and whether you open or click my emails.
When you book a consult. Calendly collects your name, email address, the appointment you choose, and your answers to my booking questions. My intake questionnaires on this site ask for your age and pronouns, your health history and current conditions, medications and supplements, allergies, reproductive health, mental and emotional health, sleep, nutrition, stress, movement, and goals. Your answers are emailed to me. During your consult, you share more of your health story so I can build your wellness plan and formula.
When you order or subscribe. Your name, email address, billing and shipping addresses, phone number if you give it, what you buy, and your order and subscription history. Stripe processes card payments on its own secure systems. I never see or store your full card number.
When you create an account. Your login details, so you can see your orders and use your courses and memberships, including The Moss Herbal.
When you comment or write to me. The name, email address, and website you enter with a comment, plus your IP address and browser details to help catch spam. When you email me, I receive whatever you include.
How I use it
I use your information to:
- prepare for and hold your consults, and write your wellness plan and formula
- process, ship, and support your orders, subscriptions, and memberships
- send the newsletter you signed up for, plus receipts, appointment details, and account emails
- answer your questions
- understand which pages and products help people, so I can improve the site
- keep the site secure and prevent fraud and spam
- meet my legal, tax, and accounting obligations
I don’t sell your personal information, and I don’t use it to make automated decisions about you.
Health information
Health details you share with me stay confidential. I use them only to support you: to prepare for and hold your consults, write your plan and formula, check for herb and medication interactions, and follow up with you. I never sell health information or share it with advertisers.

I also share information when the law requires it, to protect someone’s safety or my legal rights, or with a buyer if my business is ever sold or transferred. Beyond that, your information stays with me.
Cookies and tracking
Cookies are small files your browser stores. My site and the services above use cookies and similar tools to keep your cart and login working, remember your choices, measure visits, and see which links brought you here. Some of these services, including Google, Mailchimp, YouTube, and Calendly, can recognize your browser across other websites over time.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though the shop and login need some cookies to work. To keep Google Analytics from measuring your visits, use Google’s opt-out browser add-on. The Moss Herbal saves your preferences in your browser’s own storage, on your device.
Browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no agreed standard for responding to it, so my site works the same way whether or not your browser sends one.
How long I keep it
I keep personal information only as long as I need it. Order and payment records stay as long as tax law requires, generally seven years. Consult notes and health information stay while we work together and for up to seven years after our last consult, unless you ask me to delete them sooner. Newsletter details stay until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is deleted on each tool’s schedule.
Security
I protect your information with encrypted (HTTPS) connections, security monitoring, strong passwords, limited access, and trusted providers. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so I can’t promise absolute security, but I take real care with everything you share.
Your choices and rights
You can ask me to show you the personal information I have about you, send you a copy, correct it, or delete it. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You’ll still receive emails about your orders, appointments, and account.
To make a request, email mossherbalism@gmail.com. I may ask you to confirm a few details so I know the request comes from you, and I’ll respond within 30 days. I may keep records the law requires, such as tax records. Using these rights never changes how I treat you.
Outside the US
I’m based in the United States, and the services I use store data there, so your information is processed in the US. If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, data protection law also gives you the right to restrict or object to my use of your information, to receive it in a portable format, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
I rely on these legal bases: our agreement, when you book a consult or place an order; your consent, for the newsletter and for the health information you share for a consult, which you can withdraw at any time; my legitimate interests in running, improving, and securing my business; and legal obligations such as tax rules. Sharing personal information with me is your choice, but I need some details to book consults and fill orders.
Children
My site and services are meant for adults. I don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent me information, email me and I’ll delete it.
Changes and contact
When I update this policy, I’ll change the date at the top of the page. For significant changes, I’ll post a notice on my site or email my clients and subscribers.
